Gerald W. Bracey
Gerald W. Bracey is an independent researcher and writer living in Alexandria, VA. His most recent books are The War Against America's Public Schools (Allyn & Bacon, 2002), What You Should Know About the War Against America's Public Schools (Allyn & Bacon, 2003), and Put to the Test: An Educator's and Consumer's Guide to Standardized Testing (Revised edition, Phi Delta Kappa International, 2002). He has revised his book Understanding Education Statistics: It's Easier (and More Important) than You Think for publication this spring (Educational Research Service) and is revising his 1997 book, Setting the Record Straight: Responses to Misconceptions About American Public Education, to be published late in 2003 or early 2004 (Heinemann). He holds part-time positions with George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and the High/Scope Educational Research Foundation in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
